Bilingual Sales Associate (English/Spanish)

The responsibilities and duties of a sales associate are to have knowledge of the company's product line. As the first impression of customer service in our stores, informing and catering to the customers' home furnishing needs is priority. Cooperation and ability to work in a team setting is a vital skill required for this position.

  • Ability to speak conversational English and Spanish.
  • Greet and communicate with customers at earliest chance possible. Presenting self and store in a well displayed and professional setting.
  • Attaining knowledge of home furnishings and continued education of product changes and customer needs.
  • Soliciting business by phone, mail, email or in home visits when needed.
  • Maintaining a well displayed and clean sales floor. Assisting with in-store displays involving lifting, pulling, carrying furniture up to 100 pounds often lifted from ground level. Arranging and lifting such furniture is a daily function of this position.
  • Read and follow instructions for assembly of furniture needed in display or delivery.
  • Ability to identify furniture by manufacturer, model number, color or description from invoices.
  • Sales associate must comply with all company policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Perform Manager requested duties as necessary.
  • Presentation of self and actions to the general public and customers must always be handled in a positive and professional manner.
